FRANK MORTIN
Frank has trained with us for over 9 years.
Frank is well versed in our various classes having trained with us originally in Hull as a student and later training at our York, Cleethorpes and Leeds classes. Frank has experienced different styles and adaptations of Krav Maga taught by other federations that Spartans Academy has been affiliated with over the years along with the type of Krav Maga which we now teach in partnership with Protect Israeli Security Solutions.
Frank covers many of the legal aspects of self-defence at Spartans Academy having studied law at University and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2018.
He also has a keen interest in the fitness industry and has considerable knowledge in Sports Nutrition having competed as a bodybuilder at the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation North East Regional Championships in June 2016, where he was awarded 3rd place and invited to the British Championship Finals. Frank also competed at the Federation’s show at the National Exhibition Centre in May 2017.
Frank has been trained by two of the highest ranked Krav Maga experts in the world in Gheorghe Husar and Prof. Itay Gil.
In 2016, Frank successfully completed the Instructor Development Course passing both the theoretical and practical elements of the course run by Protect Israeli Security Solutions under Prof. Itay Gil and completed a full week’s training with him.
In 2018, Frank successfully completed the Krav Maga Civilian Instructor Training and Development course run by Gheorghe Husar.
Frank is generally a very physically active person having also completed various obstacle course races over the last year to raise money for charity.
Frank primarily teaches at our Leeds classes.
